Home Learning

Welcome to the new Home Learning area of our website, where you can find information for the completion of learning material if the need arises for your child learn at home, e.g. due to school closure or local lockdown.  As schools have fully opened, it is important that pupils who need to learn from home continue to complete educational tasks set by their teacher.

We understand that each family’s circumstances and their access to learning material for their children differs, and the responsibility to provide educational support at home can be difficult for families. It is, however, important that pupils remain engaged in education, even when they are not attending the school site. With this in mind, we have offered a number of home learning options and you will have received a letter explaining how your chosen method of home learning will work.

Attendance

To ensure pupils continue to receive a high-quality education outside of school, the school monitors pupils’ attendance and their engagement with remote learning in line with our Attendance and Truancy Policy.

These learning arrangements are in place to ensure that all pupils have access to education. We are, therefore, concerned that pupils who do not complete tasks adequately will fall behind their peers and struggle with lesson content when they return to school.

Consequently, we advise all parents to make every effort to ensure that their child has access to and completes any learning material provided. If your child is unwell and unable to complete their learning, please inform Emma Shepherd (HSLO) via email This email address is being protected from spambots. Point of Contact

Thank you once again for your ongoing support should we need to provide remote education for your child. If, for any reason, you or your child experience difficulties with any remote learning arrangements, please do not hesitate to contact the member of the senior leadership team who will be the main point of contact for your Childs’ year group.
